The spring 2020 issue of Smoky Quartz is hot off the digital press. Whether you are spending extra time at home due to the coronavirus pandemic or taking a break from being an essential worker, curl up in an easy chair, click here, and enjoy reading the journal’s latest collection of poetry and stories. Twenty-three poems, three short stories, and photography from local artist Susan Levin Wessels await you.

Our thanks to the many writers and poets who submitted their work for this issue. Once again, we were blessed with too many excellent submissions to include them all. We encourage each of you to submit work in the future.

Status of Spring 2020 Issue

The editors of Smoky Quartz have completed the process of reading and selecting work for the spring 2020 issue. We are in the process of notifying contributors, requesting edits, and updating bios. The issue will be in production in April and announced sometime in May. Thank you to all who submitted their work!
