Welcome to the Smoky Quartz Spring 2026 Issue.
In a year filled with challenges and possibilities, our writers and artists take us on a wide-ranging journey of self-exploration and wonder. Through their poetry, prose, photography, and art, we experience a world brimming with color and movement, love and uncertainty, joy and heartache. Here we find both the difficulty of navigating relationships and loss, and the simple pleasures found in everything from dancing, cooking, and hiking to watching a dog frolic in a river.
The details and images our contributors offer in this issue resonate and call us to observe the world around and within us, to be hopeful, and to be present.
