Smoky Quartz Tenth Anniversary Anthology

We still have copies of the Smoky Quartz Tenth Anniversary Anthology for sale. Published in 2022, this print edition includes selections of work from online issues of the journal up to that year, as well as new work accepted for its publication.

Copies of the anthology will be available for sale at the Holiday Market at the Peterborough Night Market. Look for the Monadnock Writers’ Group table with books by local authors at the event:

Closed to Submissions

Smoky Quartz is temporarily closed to submissions as we evaluate and revise our submissions, editorial, and production processes. We will not be producing a Fall 2024 issue. Please check the News page for further updates. You can also sign up to receive announcements and submission dates in your inbox by clicking on the Subscribe option at the bottom of every page on our website.

In the meantime, please enjoy the recently released Spring 2024 issue.

Smoky Quartz Anthology & Online Journal

The editorial team for the Smoky Quartz online journal is seeking new members to participate in the review of submissions, as well as the formatting (using WordPress) of future issues. Please email mwgsmokyquartz@gmail.com if you are interested or have any have questions.

Copies of the Smoky Quartz Tenth Anniversary Anthology are available at Monadnock Writers’ Group’s monthly meetings and at the Toadstool Bookshops. (Copies at the Toadstool are limited, so call ahead to check stock.) The 168-page paperback contains 77 poems, 6 stories, and 24 color images of artwork. The cover art is by Barbara Danser.
