Here we are, and it’s time to change
the calendar again, find a new month,
squared off and waiting. Do I buy you
a box of handkerchiefs or a Bruins jersey?
Should love be practical, or should it blow
the budget, buy the present that reminds us
what our hopes looked like. Correction:

to aim for, days away, to check off.
